Draft Introductory Tenancy Policy

We are developing a new policy on Introductory Tenancies and would welcome your thoughts and comments.

Introductory tenancies (or assured shorthold tenancies as they are also known) normally last for 12 months, after which time the tenant is granted a full assured non-shorthold tenancy (which has no fixed term to it) if there has been no significant breach of the tenancy agreement, for example because of rent arrears or anti-social behaviour. 

The attached Policy gives the Association’s reasons for introducing this type of tenancy and information relating to its administration:
