Diamond Appeal Beats Target

As part of EMH's 60th anniversary celebrations, colleagues have organised numerous events to raise money for the chosen charity.
A major contribution came from the EMH charity ball held at Leicester’s Walkers Stadium in September. The Association had already raised £8,000 before the ball, thanks to events including the staff cricket match and St Mary’s House open afternoon. A gift tree and a charity auction soon pushed the fundraising over £10,000 much to the delight of Chan Kataria, EMH group chief executive, who announced the success during the ball. He said: “The staff have really pulled out all the stops and I would like to thank everyone who has helped us raise this money.“The initial £10,000 we wanted to raise could build a school, homes or a clinic.”
